Augustina Ribbe
Harpist

Biography
Augustina Ribbe, who grew up in Brittany, France, discovered her love for the harp at an early age. In 2009, she was admitted as a young student at the Conservatoire de Rennes, where she laid the foundations for her musical education. Her musical path led her to the specialization cycle in the class of Christophe Truant in Lyon.
Currently, she is completing her final year in the Master's program at the HMT Rostock, supervised by Andreas Wehrenfennig and supported by a scholarship from the Ad Infinitum Foundation. In addition to her formal education, she refined her harp playing in renowned masterclasses, including those with Sylvain Blassel and Elizabeth Fontan-Binoche.
Her enthusiasm for music found expression in numerous successes as a soloist and chamber musician. Several prizes at international competitions, including seven at the World of Online Music Competition and two at the International Piano Competition of Brest in the chamber music category, underline her musical abilities.
Her love for the harp also manifested in her commitment to the dissemination of music. As a scholarship holder of the Live Music Now Foundation from 2017 to 2020, she brought concerts to people who cannot attend concert halls, such as a concert at the cancer ward in Rostock.
Augustina Ribbe continues to share her passion for the harp through her teaching, which she has been doing since her arrival in Germany. Currently, she is working at the Rostock Conservatory. Her participation as a jury member at the China Youth Music Competition and Jugend Musiziert, including the federal competition in 2022, demonstrates her willingness to foster young talent.
Her joy in making music with others is evident in her work as a freelance artist. After a year as an intern at the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra in the position of principal harp, she is now active in various orchestras, including the Theater Undergrunden in Copenhagen, the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock, the Theater Vorpommern, and the Staatskapelle Halle.
Her broad engagement in the world of music reflects her passionate dedication to harp playing and her enthusiasm for making music together.
